Invisalign® Melbourne - the brace free solution!

Invisalign® is the newest alternative to braces that involves wearing a series of clear aligners to rapidly straighten your smile. The days of uncomfortable metal braces are over, and invisalign is here to stay.

There are a number of benefits of Invisalign® as opposed to traditional braces:

  • Removable – Easily removable allowing you to eat, floss, drink or enjoy a special occasion.
  • Comfortable – No wires or metal brackets that cause discomfort and pain.
  • Clear – No one can tell that you’re wearing them!

At Kew Dentistry, our dental team develop a treatment plan from the first consultation, including 4-6 week checkups and a schedule for new aligners.
Your dentist will see you for an initial consultation to determine if Invisalign® is right for you. Then, we’ll develop a treatment plan based on your goals and needs. Impressions of your teeth are taken and sent to the Invisalign® laboratory to manufacture your aligners.
At Kew Dentistry, we use 3D images to show you what your teeth look like before, during and after treatment, and to demonstrate the results you can expect.

Once a treatment plan is finalised, we create custom-made aligners that are worn for two weeks before switching to the next set. Most patients require 18-36 aligners for a full treatment, over a period of 9-18 months. You’ll wear the aligners day and night but can take them out to eat, brush, drink, or for a special occasion. We’ll see you every 4-6 weeks for a checkup, monitoring your progress and giving you the next stage of aligners. As treatment continues, your teeth will move into a healthy, even smile.

Invisalign FAQs

Unfortunately there is no definitive answer, as each patient is different and has a different treatment program. Depending on the complexity of your case, you may complete Invisalign in as little as 6 months!

Invisalign is a great solution for most orthodontic cases, as it is effective in correcting simple dental issues. However, there are some complex cases where braces is the preferred option. Our dental team will make an informed assessment and determine if Invisalign is right for you.

Most invisalign patients visit for a check-up every 4-6 weeks during their treatment. This involves checking the fit of aligners, answering questions and giving you new aligners.

Kew Dentistry is able to issue long term retainers for when you have completed your Invisalign treatment.

Unlike braces, Invisalign® allows you to eat or drink anything! You are also able to brush and floss as normal.
